I do have sympathy for some. People who lost their jobs, and spent reasonably. Maybe a little for low-income folks duped by bad lenders. BUT, I'm 39, drive a beater Escort, and live in a rental. I've watched the Escalades roll by, and the huge houses go up. I spent fairly frugally, and lived low on the hog. My sympathy is limited.
